Korea Economic Daily introduced LittleFin as a fintech startup developing a differentiated payment solution for the mobile payment market.

Littlefin is a fintech company that set out with the vision of quickly and flexibly resolving the inconveniences of the traditional payment market. Currently headquartered at the Jinju Bio-Industry Foundation in Gyeongsangnam-do, it recently established a branch at the Incheon Blockchain Technology Innovation Center, accelerating the advancement of its simple payment app, 'Paywrap'. It was founded by CEO Kim Young-seok (44) in May 2025.

Its flagship product is 'Paywrap', a mobile simple payment service that allows a payer to mobilize as many of their available payment methods as they want to complete a single transaction. For example, when purchasing a 2-million-won laptop at an online shopping mall, a consumer can split the payment into 1 million won on their Samsung Card and 1 million won on their Hyundai Card. Helping consumers construct a 'payment portfolio' tailored to their individual situations and needs so they can pay all at once is Littlefin's core function. Littlefin has named this core feature 'combined (split) payment'. Beyond this, the company is developing a simple payment app with enhanced functionality to improve upon the hidden inconveniences that exist behind the convenience of current simple payment services.

"While existing services have focused solely on the keyword 'simplicity', Paywrap's competitive edge lies in adding 'differentiated payment features' to that convenience. As the credit provision market becomes increasingly complex and the era of low growth continues, more customers are meticulously tracking their consumption rewards. Paywrap is the most optimal solution to meet the needs of these smart consumers."

For instance, by using Paywrap's simple payment service, consumers can directly design their own payment rewards—such as meeting the previous month's spending requirements for two different credit cards through a single transaction.

"South Korea has the highest number of smart consumers in the world who take payment rewards into consideration when making a purchase. In such a market, you could say this is an absolutely essential payment service and simple payment solution."

Although the initial model of Paywrap has completed development, collaboration with legacy institutions (traditional financial sectors) is essential due to the high barriers of capital and regulation characteristic of the financial market. Therefore, the company is currently focusing on finding partner companies that can help them enter the payment API ecosystem. Fortunately, they have already received proactive requests from three large conglomerates and are in discussions for collaboration and PoC (Proof of Concept). In terms of brand marketing, they are strengthening their brand through their website. Since practical merchant recruitment will be carried out by sharing the merchants of partner companies within a sandbox API space, Littlefin is currently concentrating on meet-ups with potential partners.
